Fraise spreads his small, leaf-like wings and stands up on his hind legs, fore legs reaching upward to make himself look big and scary. Think red panda trying to look intimidating. He can't really roar or even growl like some of his much large brethren so there's one more tiny, irritated hiss before he feels like he's gotten his point across. Dragons are not food!
Fraise may not be intimidating to bigger creatures, but Bunny is a rabbit and not some bigger creature. He’s very impressed by Fraise’s display! Enough that he takes another little hop back. He looks like a little plant-dragon and he knows some dragons can breathe fire!
Fraise takes a few awkward steps forward before he falls back down onto all fours. No, not awkward actually (very awkward. He's a quadruped through and through) but rather very intimidating. He's a ferocious dragon. Fear him, little bunny. The tiny dragon ducks his head and opens his mouth, like he's about to try to scorch the rabbit's fur. But he produces not even so much as a spark. He closes his mouth and wraps his tail around himself, looking every bit like a tiny dragon loaf.
Well, Bunny’s well and intimidated! He doesn’t know little fruit-plant dragons don’t breathe fire! He’s very afraid until Fraise advises him that he doesn’t have to worry about being burned to a crisp for an unhappy accident! While Bunny breathes out a little sight of relief, the tension doesn’t leave him right away. Surely even a little dragon has other forms of defense! Bunny may not be out of danger yet.
“I’m so sorry I chewed on your tail. I’ll be more careful next time!”
A little dragon does have another form of defence! He has pointy little teeth and razor sharp claws. Both are small like the dragon so they are little more than an annoyance to something bigger (though hopefully annoyance enough to make the bigger predator think the little dragon simply isn't worth the time), but they could be quite harmful to a small bunny. Not fatal without some effort on the part of the little dragon, but dangerous even still.
"Don't just eat everything you see." Fraise angrily flicks the berry-shaped end of his tail before tucking it under his chin.
The protector. The guardian who eats all of the bugs and chases away all of the rodents and other creatures who would do harm to the plants. The guardian who guards the garden just as much as it guards him. Small dragons like him sometimes seek out lush gardens like this for refuge. It suits their natural camouflage quite well. So, the garden looks out for him, it's only right that he looks out for it as well.
"I'm the best guardian, thank you. I eat all of the bugs and chase off all of the pests. The bugs are really attracted to my tail. And I guess rabbits are too, apparently."
