The invitation goes out to many. Once again, monsters make up the bulk of the guest list but humans have a small place on it this time as well. They still have their place at his party as servants and food, but some lucky humans have been gifted the title of 'guest'. See, when the host decided there were a few humans he wanted to invite as his own personal guests, he also made the decision to allow other humans to join their ranks. Congratulations lowly humans.

The invite, itself, is very on-theme for Vena: Gold ink on heavy black cardstock. Each one is beautifully handwritten. Not by Vena, but by someone else of course! The party's theme is outlined on the invitation. It's to be a masquerade ball with no other restrictions.

A small team of decorators have been working tirelessly to prepare Vena's estate. He even kept his presence to a minimum so they could stay focused on the task at hand. The entire estate has a Victorian gothic theme, more so than usual. Deep reds join the black colouring, all meant to evoke thoughts and feelings of the season. Several long tables were brought in to the dining room, upon which sits a vast array of food and drink. If someone doesn't see something they like on the table, there's a young man working the bar and a chef in the kitchen awaiting instruction (both working for the low price of just few scant moments of Vena's attention once in a while throughout the night). The sofa and most of the other furniture has been removed from the living room area to transform it into a ballroom, where both the music and the lighting are rather soft. Extra seating has been brought in and spread about the estate, though for those looking for something a little more comfortable or a place to spend the night, all of the bedrooms (minus two. His own bedroom and Su-jin's) on the second floor are open to guests.

The grounds outside match the dark theme of the inside with even the newly hung lights being a little dimmer, a little moody. Benches are dotted around the garden with more intimate, two-seat benches deeper in where the flora is a little taller and a little thicker, where it's a little further from the party and people can feel more alone.

Vena's entire estate is at his guests' disposal tonight. Enjoy, partygoers.

Scrawled on a black invitation in beautiful, gold coloured handwritten calligraphy is the date and time of the party, as well as one of Vena's addresses. Beautiful waterfront property just outside of a nearby city. The time on the invitation is listed as 8PM. Vena's attempt to accommodate any guests who may not be able to face the sun. Vena has a preference for nighttime anyway.

The home, itself, sits on a large piece of land with a well manicured and expansive garden on one side, and the harbour on the other. Inside, the home is very open, with plenty of space for party goers to lounge, and plenty of rooms for them to disappear into. There are only two bedrooms closed to the guests: Vena's own and one that that he keeps for his partner. There are floor to ceiling windows that look out over the large deck (where there's ample seating and a fire pit that will have a fire burning all night) and the harbour.

The decor and furnishings, themselves, are all dark shades (and not all white like in the picture!) of varying colours. Greys, blues, reds, and black, of course, with gold and silver accents and the occasional white showing up in a variety of places to break up the darkness.

There is a vast array of finger foods and an open bar, as well as a chef in the kitchen should anyone desire something a little more substantial to eat. He may even have a few humans set aside who are willing to be fed on, should that be what someone wants. Well, more like they're willing to do anything Vena asks, but to Vena, it's all the same thing.

As for the actual guests, an invite has gone out to anyone who isn't human, from demons to mythical creatures and everything in between. That isn't to say that humans aren't permitted (as more than snacks and servants) because they are, but as a +1. They must have something not human to accompany them, who will then be responsible for them for the evening. Don't let you humans get out of hand and ruin it for everyone else. The dress code is semi-formal and the colours are black and gold, just like the invitation.

Vena, himself, is dressed a little more than usual, with a few pieces of gold jewelry and some simple black around his eyes to fit his chosen colour scheme.
