The obvious fact that Snake is nothing more than an average human is what catches Vena's attention and makes him decide to greet the man personally. Most others are greeted by the equally average man Vena has stationed at the door. A man who is so desperate to be in the presence of the incubus that he's willingly working the door for free, for however long the party continues. All for the chance to get to be in the same room as Vena. Poor thing. Too bad he'll probably never seen Vena again once the party is over. He has nothing to offer aside from servitude.

It's over near the drinks where Vena makes himself known, coming up next to the human, standing close enough that his bare hip is pressed against Snake's leg. "Welcome to my home." Vena doesn't look up at Snake as he speaks. Instead, he reaches for a glass of wine. One that's different from what he tried earlier, he hopes. "I didn't see you come in with anyone."
