The times when Vena has taken from Su-jin when Su-jin's specifically asked he didn't are few and far between. He doesn't want to take from Su-jin out of spite. He doesn't want to hurt Su-jin. He doesn't want to cause him distress. It's not really in his nature to back off once he sees something he wants, yet he'll do it for Su-jin. Su-jin deserves more than what Vena's willing to do for others because SU-jin is far apart from them.
