Rai is quiet as he waits for Vincent to speak. It's surprisingly difficult to play a more passive role in the conversation. He wants to help Vincent out. He wants to say for him what he's expecting Vincent to say. Take some of the burden off of the clearly nervous human's shoulders. As though he isn't feeling some nerves himself. But he bites his tongue, waiting not exactly patiently for Vincent to get out what he's trying to say.
