Seong loves the space too. He's jealous and a little disappointed that it isn't his and it never will be. When he was still under his parents' roof and longing to be out on his own and fully independent, this is the sort of place he envisioned himself in. Something beautiful and spacious and just his. Instead he's got a bedroom in a smaller apartment and he can't survive without a roommate. It's just the illusion of independence. He just traded his parents for his roommate. He hates it. And he hates that he's jealous of his own boyfriend because he has what Seong doesn't. That's not right, right? He should be happy for what Matthias has. And yet.
Looking down at the couch, Seong's attention is then quickly pulled back to Matthias (as though Matthias doesn't always have some part of his attention). The cute way Matthias bumps their noses together draws a smile out of Seong. It's something that, not long ago, would have irritated him and now it makes him smile. Had anyone else tried it previously, Seong would've turned away but not from Matthias. Never from Matthias.
"Mm yeah. I'll get my own plate." Which means letting go of Matthias' hand instead of standing here, clutching it like a lifeline.
