Maybe Myca is simply projecting something he misses onto Aqua. Maybe Aqua is nothing more than a strange young man that lead an incredibly sheltered life. Sheltered enough that he knows virtually nothing of the world around him. Or maybe he's not wrong, and Aqua really is something other than human. It could simply be that Aqua is, indeed, a creature who just crawled out of the ocean. Something here to unknowingly help ward off just a bit of Myca's loneliness.
